This year was very special for us.

Karen and Bryan decided to ask Corey Timberlake to heel on their stud My Oleana Dun It (Dunny) in the 10 header roping on Saturday morning.

To make things even more interesting, they asked Raul Hernandez if he would be willing to head on one of Dunny's offspring that Raul owns and trained. Everyone wanted to see the father/son team rope together for the 1st time.

This was asking a lot of Raul because the colt was still weeks shy of his 3rd birthday. Raul had been heeling on the horse and had even won a saddle on him at one of the South Texas Trailer Tour ropings. Raul was kind enough to agree to ask such a young horse to head 10 steers with only 2 weeks to switch from heeling to heading.

They won.

We are all very proud of:

Corey Timberlake for riding and training Dunny so well.

Dunny for working so well and especially for producing such a talented colt.

Raul Hernandez for doing such a good job of breaking and training the colt and for being willing to ride him in such a demanding event.

Hollywood Doc Olena (the colt) for working like a horse twice his age. Raul made him turn all 10 steers, and he never balked.

I will post a video here later. Please check again.
